Our Father not only encourages us to live in victory in all areas of our lives, but He has also provided us with all the elements we need to achieve it.
Every battle we face in life is primarily a spiritual warfare, so the tools He has given us are supernatural, high-capacity weapons for always emerging victorious, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12).
The belt of truth.
The breastplate of righteousness.
The shoes of the gospel of peace.
The shield of faith.
The helmet of salvation.
The sword of the Spirit.
They are all useful elements that we must know and handle, and which we can use to our advantage, "that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm" (Ephesians 6:13-17), "for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).
If victories are to be consistently won, they must be fought for by faith, because they are of a spiritual nature, influencing from the invisible to unleash blessing into the visible world. "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith" (1 John 5:4), "praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication" (Ephesians 6:18).
